Ritorna il 5° Rapporto Annuale OSSFOR 2021, la prima e unica analisi nata dalla collaborazione tra Osservatorio Malattie Rare-OMaR e il Centro per la Ricerca Economica Applicata alla Sanità (CREA Sanità), che offre un quadro rappresentativo e aggiornato dei consumi e dei costi effettivi dei farmaci orfani per il SSN, dei tempi di autorizzazione e accesso ai farmaci, delle normative che regolamentano il settore e delle difformità regionali.
Dopo Campania, Lazio, Puglia e Toscana, OSSFOR quest’anno torna ad analizzare i dati relativi alla Regione Lombardia già esaminati nel 2015. Il Rapporto contiene un approfondimento dell’epidemiologia delle malattie rare in Italia, analizza, le problematiche di accesso ai farmaci orfani, esamina l’andamento delle traiettorie di accesso al mercato dei FO e le dimensioni del relativo consumo e spesa.
Viene, poi, affrontato il tema della governance delle malattie rare, del ruolo della Real-World Evidence per la valutazione post-marketing, della revisione dei regolamenti per i farmaci orfani e pediatrici e delle sperimentazioni cliniche per i farmaci orfani. Infine, una particolare attenzione è stata riservata al tema del Testo Unico Malattie Rare e del PNRR, concentrandosi sulle possibili proposte che possono offrire soluzioni alle problematiche che i pazienti con malattia rara si trovano ad affrontare.
