Press Release

These are times when the poor man is not sure of his probity, the rich man of his fortune and the man of his life, or whether he will continue that same life.

Providence has strange ways that are beyond our control. Man passively believes in a revealed life in order to reach the necessary clarity of vision in continually changing historical perspectives: an apocalyptic reading of a thought that unravels before our eyes, fixed on images of endless wars and religious lacerations which we are no longer able to understand the cause of... and above all, upon which we are unable to look with the intention of finding a solution.

One can be stopped in their tracks when intent upon a task of enormous importance. Suddenly, no longer going forward, one is forced to follow a path imposed by others.

"For with much wisdom is much sorrow; as knowledge increases, grief increases", reads Ecclesiastes (1:18). What is the point, after all, of understanding how the world works and how human beings behave when nothing changes when injustices continue? Wouldn't it be better to let go and go with the flow of life?

Whether it be a setback at work, an illness, or the break-up of a relationship, such circumstances can be an opportunity to reflect on the profound dimension of one's existence.

How does one reconcile money and social justice, business and rebellion, individualism, and equality? A real right is a prerogative derived from moral philosophy applied to human nature: it is a term used by philosophy to designate a current moral principle that should objectively derive from the examination of man's natural morality.

Rights are not subjective constructs: they are objective principles validated by moral philosophy (particularly by political philosophy, that branch of moral philosophy that deals with the legitimacy of the use of force).

A path of life, based on trust in life with a new perception of life. My thoughts are swallows that take flight to distant destinations.

Everyone, in life, experiences transitions that require courage. As if it were a journey, a book to write, a dream to color in order to reach the "river of knowledge", where we learn to think with our heads, how to choose the friends who will accompany us along the path of our life, to build a better future, sowing with passion the fruits of abundance.

Life has values of which I am personally convinced.

I formed and built mine according to my beliefs, my personality, my experience, and my culture. The life of others is what the other person believes it to be, and I am committed to respecting that, even if the truths of another are vastly different from my personal beliefs.

I believe that no-one can impose on anyone a way of life, faith, or belief in anything. To each his own life. God tolerates the existence of many religions, and we cannot impose just one.

Earthly life is always subjective, and each of us can own it or build it. Jesus Christ presents Himself as love and light, and what He says is not connected to a particular religion, era, or civilization.

“Credo ut intelligamintelligo ut credam”. I believe that I might understand, and understand that I might believe.

Hans Küng has contaminated me in an extraordinary spiritual ascent in search of a new perspective based on love, self-awareness, and respect for others. A role that is no longer that of the theologian with a canonical mandate, in charge of the intellectual formation of future priests, but that of the theologian working in the open, in free academic and ecumenical debate, committed to helping humankind of our time to understand and love the Universe. We are called upon to be responsible for others. For one another, even if it costs us our freedom.

The distance that makes us feel lonely until we are tired and empty.

Washing hands of germs and fear, as if soap and disinfectant could wash away intrusive thoughts. And while I rub my hands thoroughly, one against the other, I make them aseptic and dry, but no matter how often I repeat it, I cannot remove all the impurities or fear.
